Here are the details on system requirements for the web-streamed sessions.

Available Sessions

Dependant on your level of registration, the following sessions will be available for viewing.

 Thursday 2 September

Friday 3 September

11.00am – 12.30pm Public Libraries: A Surprise on Every Page

3.30pm – 5.00pm Public Libraries: A Surprise on Every Page

Question & Answer

Web streaming participants will have the opportunity to ask speakers questions during the Q&A section of the sessions. A moderated Q&A module will allow you to type questions directed to the speaker. Your question may then be chosen and read out during the Q&A section by the session chairperson.

 System Requirements – All users

  • Flash Player Version 9.0.45 or later (released 13/4/07)
  • Soundcard with speakers or headphones
  • Monitor with resolution of least 1024 x 768 pixels
  • Internet Connection of least 400kbps download

 IMPORTANT: Internet Plans

Please keep in mind that watching a full day webcast can consume approx 1GB of data (150 – 200MB per hour) and that the user should ensure their Internet plan has enough data remaining.

 IMPORTANT: Corporate Users

Corporate viewers are encouraged to test their system well in advance of the conference to ensure that video streams are not blocked by the system administrator.

 Early testing should enable you to request that the URL/port is unblocked.

 Log In Instructions

Log in instructions will be sent once you have registered for a web-streaming session,

 IMPORTANT: Test your System prior to the conference

It is recommended that you log-in and test your settings well in advance of the conference to ensure there are no technical issues on the day.

 Access Post Conference

Your log-in will also give you access after the conference to re-watch your purchased web-cast sessions.
